Absolute Entertainment

is looking for enthusiastic and reliable DJs to join our team! No experience required--we're willing to train the right person. If you love country, pop, classic rock, and top 40 hits, this could be the perfect fit for you!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a vibrant atmosphere through music and engaging with the audience to ensure a memorable experience. Our bookings are increasing and we have a need to expand our team!

Casual (scheduled as needed)

Availability:

Must be available to work evenings and weekends

Seasons:

We have a busy Christmas season and an exciting wedding season next summer

Duties

- Select and play music appropriate for the event or venue
- Interact with the audience to gauge music preferences and requests
- Mix music seamlessly to maintain a lively atmosphere
- Emcee events as needed, making announcements and engaging the crowd
- Operate sound equipment, including microphones and speakers

Requirements:

Music Knowledge:

Familiarity with country, pop, classic rock, and top 40 music

Transportation:

Must have reliable transportation to get to event locations

Technology:

Must have a reliable laptop and a cell phone with a data plan

Professionalism:

Drug and alcohol-free, and able to restrain from alcohol and drugs at events. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to give excellent customer service at all times.

Attitude:

Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a great attitude toward making events memorable!

Availability:

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Most events are from 5 pm - 1 am, but we do have some events that start earlier or end later, depending on our client.

Experience:

Prior experience is an asset, but not required. We will train the right people.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Some of our jobs are out of Grande Prairie. Are you willing to travel outside of Grande Prairie to attend events? Do you have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to events? Are you available to work Friday and Saturday nights? Most shifts start at 5 pm. What music genres are your favourite to listen to?
