Position Overview:

ACQBUILT is seeking a Mobile Crane / Boom Truck Operator to work in and around the Edmonton Area. As a member of the Logistics Department, the Mobile Crane / Boom Truck Operator is accountable and responsible for the safe operation of their equipment. They operate either a Grove TMS 500E, Manitex 40T or 50T in residential neighborhoods hoisting panels to build wood structured single family, row housing, or condo units.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive and operate mobile cranes or boom trucks.

Ensure equipment is cared for and preventative maintenance schedules are followed.

Maintain a legal Driver's logbook.

Proper, legal load securement.

Complete pre and post trip inspections and correct or report all defects immediately.

Perform minor repairs, ensure equipment is greased properly.

Adhere to all safety standards in the workplace.

Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Mobile Crane Journeyman ticket will consider 3rd and 4th year apprentices.

Valid Class 1 Driver's license.

Good communication skills.

Teamwork oriented - ability to pitch in and work with the ground crews as required.

Ability to work at heights.

Problem solving skills.

Construction knowledge and experience is an asset.
