JLL is seeking a Mobile Building Operator for one of our top nation-wide accounts. The Mobile Building Operator will perform annual preventive maintenance work for our client locations in East Toronto to Scarborough, ideal for someone located in Markham, Pickering, Toronto or Scarborough. This will include hands-on repair & maintenance work for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, card access systems, door & gates systems, building envelope systems, grounds and parking lots, interior finish systems, lighting systems, and various other R&M tasks associated with operation of a commercial property.

Mobile Building Operators are assigned a company vehicle and tools as well as corporate cell phone to manage work orders and calls. You will excel in this position if you enjoy working independently, can exercise good judgement to prioritize and manage your workday and provide exceptional customer service.

What is your day to day?

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair service work on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and various other building systems to maintain the properties in peak operational condition.
• Effortlessly performs routine building maintenance and repairs.
• Follow JLL safety guidelines and best practices and ensure all work is performed safely and complies with JLL industry standards.
• Identify energy savings opportunities at facilities including system and operational changes that can decrease the property\xe2\x80\x99s energy consumption.
• Work independently to plan work and execute assignments, with a minimal of direct supervision
• Assist other trades and contractors as needed in the general maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds.
• Interact with the client daily, building a good working relationship and representing JLL in a professional manner

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills

• BES Certification or SMA certification is considered an asset
• Completion of a trade (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Power Engineer) is considered an asset

Required

• 3+ years of building operator or maintenance technician experience preferably in a commercial, industrial, or retail environment
• A clean and valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
• Parking space (preferably not street parking) for the JLL van as it remains with the operator overnight
