Job Description

Wollaton Lake Lodge seeking a professional, personable Mixologist to join our team for the 2026 season. As a key member of our front-of-house operation, you will craft and serve both classic and signature cocktails, and help create an inviting, elevated atmosphere for our guests each evening.

We take pride in learning guest names and preferences, recommending beverages, and ensuring the bar, lounge, and Tackle Shop areas run smoothly and look their best.

Schedule for Daily Shift: 3:30 p.m. - Close
Schedules may vary depending on group logisticsTeam leads will provide updates as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Open and set up the bar daily, restocking liquor, beer, wine, and mixers. Greet and engage guests with warmth and professionalism. Prepare and serve classic and custom cocktails tailored to guest preferences. Take and deliver drink orders in the lounge and dining room. Assist with dining room setup or service during slower periods. Prepare daily garnishes and bar supplies (fruit caddies, Caesar caddy, coffee, juices, milk, simple syrups,etc.). Maintain polished glassware and fully stocked bar tools. Ensure lights, fans, TVs, and music are set for the evening atmosphere. Pop and serve popcorn for guests Keep the bar, lounge, mezzanine, and Tackle Shop tidy and guest-ready. Straighten, fold, restock, and price merchandise in the Tackle Shop. Assist with guest purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Collect glassware and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift. Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items for inventory pulls. Complete all end-of-day cleaning and closing tasks before leaving shift. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of bartending or mixology experience (required) Bartending/Mixology course (required) Saskatchewan Serve It Right certification (required) Strong knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits; skilled in cocktail creation and pairings. Comfortable using POS systems and handling transactions. Previous experience in a high-volume or fine dining environment preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Physically capable of performing job duties (standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs). Must be legally authorized to work full-time in Canada. Work schedule: Monday to Sunday (includes holidays and weekends)
