To make sure that production is running in a timely matter, and that all machinery is properly running and being maintained during production.
Duties:
Inspect machines on both lines and set up accordingly to production runs.
Inspect and operate the Rotary Molder, ensuring proper function and efficiency.
Adjust belt tensions and tracking to maintain smooth dough feeding.
Ensure proper dough feeding techniques to maintain uninterrupted production.
Perform die changes and clean dough-contact surfaces when switching products.
Maintaining and understand the operating procedures for the machines.
Document machine schedule properly and in a timely manner.
Review production schedules established for production to ensure inventory levels are met while operating as efficiently as possible.
Make sure all Mixing and Machine schedule sheets are properly filled out before end of your shift.
Help and assist with wire breaks.
Make sure that all cookies on both lines are at their proper weights and sizes through the runs.
Operate hoist for dough bins on both lines
Keep in communication with mixers to correct any issues with dough.
Monitor work areas for pest issues.
Assist & manually shovel dough to rotary dies feeder when needed for both line 1 and line 2.
Keep work areas neat and tidy throughout the day.
Any downtime, prepare for upcoming dough's/ next day production, sweep flours, clean work area, or any other tasks the lead hand requests.
Must arrive no later than 5 to 10 minutes before your shift and clock out 5 to 10 minutes after your scheduled shift.
Requirements:
Knowledge of WHMIS, HACCP, GMP and First Aid are considered assists
Grade 12 or OSSD equivalent.
Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and works well with others and independently
1 year Machine Operator experience in a food manufacturing environment
Must be able to read and write in English and fill out relevant work documents
Strong skills to work both independently and in a team
High comfort level working in a diverse environment
Previous cross-functional and/or teamwork experience
Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment
Effective Communication and Writing Skills
Knowledge of WHMIS, HACCP, GMP and First Aid are considered assists
Grade 12 or OSSD equivalent.
Steel Toe Shoes are mandatory.

Based on experience.
