MIT Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

Review approved specifications and elevator maintenance agreements and applicable acts, regulations and codes

Inspect elevator components and other related building systems

Getting clearance with TSSA for handing elevator over to customers and ensuring hoists pass on interval inspections/ testing.

Prepare inspection reports, respond to complaints/queries, review and acting on reports from Technical Standards and Safety Authority

Installation, Dismantling, Maintenance and repair of elevators including supervision.

Determine the need for and perform major overhaul or replacement of defective equipment

Read and interpret blueprints

Follow appropriate maintenance and service procedures

Training and mentoring of EDM-T's.

Lifting requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of related experience

EDM-B license mechanic

Experienced with rack-and-pinion drive systems (ex: Raxtar, RNU, industrial elevators, construction hoist)

Comfortable working outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions

Comfortable working at heights

Valid Driver's License

Proficient in the English language with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and time management skills
