HOURS OF WORK: Rotating Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, Statutory Holidays, Subject to change due to operational requirements

SALARY: $35.34 to $44.77 per hour

JOB PURPOSE:

Provision of nursing care to meet the individual patient's needs by utilizing the Nursing Process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick
• Willing to learn Chronic Care and Palliative Care principles
• Understanding and sensitivity to the philosophy and principles of Chronic Care and Palliative Care
• Effective communication skills within Horizon Health Network and with patients, families, and the public
• Ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• High regard for confidentiality and advocacy for patient
• Understanding of and ability to implement the Nursing Process in the Chronic Care and Palliative Care Unit
• Demonstration of initiative and good judgement
• Current CPR certification
• Must be LEAP certified
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis
• Ability to perform the duties of the position
• Good work record
• Written and spoken competence in English (B2.1 or Advanced) and spoken competence in French (B1.2 or Intermediate Plus) are required.
