Diabetes Regional Program ~ Miramichi Regional Hospital ~ Miramichi ~ Horizon Health Network ~ Health NetworkLanguage requirement:English Essential and spoken French (B1.2 / Intermediate +)Schedule:2- 7.5 hour shifts per the first week. 3- 7.5 shifts the second week, Subject to change due to operational requirementsJob Classification:Dietitian 1 (DT01)Job Classification Type:SHCPJOB PURPOSEThe Dietitian is responsible for managing the nutritional care of clients. This is professional dietetics practice in either clinical nutrition, community nutrition or food service operations towards the attainment, maintenance and promotion of the health of individuals, groups and the communityQUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition or dietetics and successful completion of an accredited internship program.
• Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Dietitians.
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and completion of the Certification Program for Insulin Dose Adjustment considered an asset
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Dietitian is responsible for:

• Assessing, planning, and providing therapy to individuals and groups
• Maintaining clinical records and documentation
• Participating in interdisciplinary care planning
• Preparing and presenting information and education sessions
• Providing mentoring and support for students
• Participating in developing, maintaining and evaluating policies and procedures
