Miramichi Regional Hospital ~ Miramichi ~ Horizon Health Network ~ Health NetworkLanguage requirement:English EssentialSchedule:Subject to change due to operational requirementsJob Classification:Audiologist 1 (AU01)Job Classification Type:SHCPJOB PURPOSEThe Audiologist is responsible for providing assessment, consultation and rehabilitation services for individuals with auditory and/or vestibular disorders.QUALIFICATIONS

• A Masters degree in Audiology.
• Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and eligible for membership with the Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Audiologist is responsible for:

• Assess, plan, and provide therapy to individuals and groups
• Document assessments, interventions, treatment plans, communication with the care team
• Provide guidance and support to therapy assistants and other health care providers
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
• Prepare and present information and education sessions
• Provid mentoring and support for students
• Participate in developing, maintaining and evaluating policies and procedures
• Participate in developing and sharing information related to clinical skill sets, best practices and clinical guidelines
