An exciting Mining Engineering Intern opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Lanigan Potash site beginning September 2024 for an approximate 12-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer and is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.This role is part of the Indigenous Internship Program and is open to voluntarily self-identified students or new grads of Canadian Indigenous ancestry.What you will do:

• Conduct ventilation surveys
• Install and monitor ground control instrumentation
• Assist with conducting ground control audits
• Collect and input mine engineering data into databases
• Conduct geological and geophysical surveys

What you will bring:

• Enrolled in or recent graduate (within 2 years) of Mining Engineering, Geology, Mining Engineering Technology, Mineral Exploration Technology, or equivalent programs
• Experience working in a mining/heavy industrial environment is preferred
• Demonstrate positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
• Superior interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
