About Brucejack

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga'a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.


As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. You'll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. We also have plenty of ways for you to relax and stay active, with a gym, fitness classes, a golf simulator, and seasonal activities like snowshoeing and hiking. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Our Brucejack Recreation Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.

Your Impact

As a

Miner

at Newmont's Brucejack Mine, you'll be at the heart of underground operations--helping to execute the mine plan safely and efficiently. You'll play a key role in advancing our mining activities while progressing through our training program and building a long-term career in underground mining.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

Support daily underground mining operations with safety as your top priority Operate and perform basic daily maintenance on equipment (scoops, drills, shotcrete, etc.) Conduct drilling, scaling, workplace inspections and equipment operation in compliance with safety standards Extend and maintain underground infrastructure (ventilation, sump pumps, water lines) Mentor and collaborate with new team members to build a strong underground workforce Maintain accurate shift records and perform housekeeping duties to support a safe work area #

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

3-6 years of underground experience Proven long hole drilling experience or RC drilling (Sandvik preferred) Experience with cable bolting, scoops, and haul trucks preferred High school diploma or equivalent Valid Class 5 driver's license Previous mining, construction, or heavy equipment experience preferred Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks in challenging underground conditions Commitment to safety and continuous learning #

Rotation:

13 days on / 13 days off + 2 travel days

Conditions:

Underground, remote camp setting, extreme weather

Requirements:

Pre-employment medical, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and wear full PPE

The expected salary range for this role is CA$$54.14 - $61.20 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
