About Brucejack

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga'a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. You'll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. We also have plenty of ways for you to relax and stay active, with a gym, fitness classes, a golf simulator, and seasonal activities like snowshoeing and hiking. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Our Brucejack Recreation Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.



Your Impact



As a Miner at Newmont's Brucejack Mine, you'll be at the heart of underground operations--helping to execute the mine plan efficiently while keeping safety at the forefront of everything you do. You'll play a key role in advancing our mining activities while progressing through our training program and building a long-term career in underground mining.



As Part of Our Team, You Will



Operate underground mobile equipment and surface support systems (e.g., crusher, conveyors, rock breakers) Conduct scaling, ground support, and infrastructure repairs to support mining advancement Complete thorough pre-operational inspections, equipment checks, and basic maintenance Follow safe work procedures, identify hazards, and help implement effective controls Extend underground services (ventilation, air, water, and sump systems) Maintain shift documentation and report safety or equipment issues to supervisors

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role



A minimum of 2 years of underground experience High school diploma (or equivalent) Valid Class 5 driver's license Experience operating heavy equipment or working in trades/construction is preferred Understanding of safety procedures and underground mining practices Physically fit and comfortable working in challenging underground environments Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills Positive attitude and ability to work in a diverse, team-based setting Cable bolting, scoops, long hole drilling experience or RC drilling are assets

Your Work Environment



Location: Brucejack Mine (fly-in/fly-out) Rotation: 13 days on / 13 days off + 2 travel days Conditions: Underground, remote camp setting, extreme weather Requirements: Pre-employment medical, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and wear full PPE

We are now recruiting fro several Miner positions, with a competitive hourly rate range of CA$47.08 to $61.20 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
