About the role



As an Underground Mining Technician, you will play a crucial role in our mining operations by safely and efficiently performing underground mining activities. You will contribute to ensuring the smooth execution of mining processes and the management of technical risks in the underground environment.

Key Responsibilities



As an Underground Mining Technician, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks essential to the smooth operation of our mining activities. This includes operating and maintaining a variety of equipment, from light vehicles and forklifts to hand and power tools, ensuring they are in optimal condition for use. You will also play a crucial role in the transportation of personnel, equipment, and materials through mine shafts using underground mobile equipment. Additionally, you will assist in drilling operations and the setup of mining machinery, as well as in loading and blasting activities to drive production drives and stopes forward. You'll also contribute to the installation, preventative maintenance, and overhaul repairs of primary underground installations, further ensuring the efficiency and safety of our operations. Your versatility and expertise in these areas will be vital in supporting our team's success in underground mining endeavors.



What You'll Bring



Proven Experience: Technical skills in operating and maintaining mining equipment and machinery.

Safety Expertise: Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in underground mining operations.

Work Ethic: Ability to work effectively within established procedures with moderate supervision.

Problem solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues with senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval.
