Canada Fluorspar Inc. (CFI) is seeking a Mine Surveyor to support pit extraction, operational planning, and precise, timely data collection in a live production environment. You'll collaborate closely with Operations, Geology, and Engineering to deliver layouts, weekly drone flights, and survey reporting that keeps the mine on plan.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and mark up pit layouts and headings
Conduct weekly drone flights and monitor water levels
Lay out drill holes and perform daily as-built pickups
Perform topographic and ore body surveys; produce mine maps as mine expands
Provide grade checks for loading units and dozers
Maintain records, update spreadsheets, manage data transfers; contribute to month-end and weekly reporting; ensure safety compliance and efficiency
Qualifications
Technical diploma/certificate or related post-secondary experience
Minimum 2 years of mine-site surveying experience
Valid Class G driver's license
Proficiency with GPS, drones, LiDAR, scanners, Total Stations; capable of processing survey data and developing survey reports
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
