About the Job:

The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a

Mine Supervisor

to work in a camp-based environment on a two week in/two week out shift rotation. If you are motivated by unique challenges, change, working in a remote location and work-life balance with the flexibility of a rotational schedule, this opportunity is for you!

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures; Ensure compliance with the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in British Columbia; Supervise, direct, coordinate and coach the activities of employees engaged in the mining processes; Ensure operators are trained and experienced for assigned tasks; Ensure employees perform pre-operational check and supervise all job functions according to Safe Operating Procedures; Monitor equipment and processes and conduct trouble shooting activities when problems arise; Develop future proficient equipment operators from within the crew; Ensure all reporting is accurately completed in a timely manner; Promote continuous improvement in all aspects of the Mine Operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum five (5) years' experience in a mechanized mining operation; Minimum three (3) years' experience in similar role; Experience with paste backfill and cut & fill operations; Knowledge of ground support systems; Ability to read, interpret and follow mine plan documentation; Ability to operate Jumbo and trucking equipment; Valid BC Underground Blasting Ticket; Valid BC Underground Shift Boss Ticket; Valid St. Johns standard first aid course with a travel endorsement; Valid driver's license; Physically fit to perform the duties of the position. Mining, Oil and Gas or Heavy Industrial experience is preferred; Strong problem-solving, teamwork and ability to develop and foster strong working relationships; Strong sense of integrity, ethics and desire to positively impact the environment; Strong communication skills, written and verbal; Ability to work with a diverse cross-cultural workforce.

Additional Information:

Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp. Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
