We're looking for a senior professional to lead our Mine Site Planning and Modeling practice -- someone with deep technical expertise, strategic insight, and the drive to shape the future of mine water management.

The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance to the group, mentor technical staff, and play a key role in expanding our capacity to deliver integrated, forward-looking planning and permitting support for mine sites.

What You'll Do
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the mine site planning and modeling group within the Mine Water Management Team.
Lead the development and application of GoldSim and related modeling tools to support water management design, operations, closure planning, and permitting.
Advance the use of innovative, value-driven water planning tools that improve mine performance, risk management, and regulatory outcomes.
Integrate water quality and water balance modeling to support comprehensive site water management strategies.
Guide multidisciplinary teams in integrating modeling outputs into broader mine water management and site design strategies.
Mentor, coach, and grow a team of professionals passionate about delivering practical, effective, and defensible solutions.
Oversee project delivery to ensure technical quality, efficiency, and alignment with client goals.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through trusted technical advice and responsive service.
Contribute to business development, proposal preparation, and strategic growth of the mine site planning and modeling practice.
Represent the company in industry forums, technical conferences, and client engagements.
What You'll Bring
A positive and motivated personality!
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental, Mining, or Civil Engineering; Hydrology; Geoscience; or a related discipline.
20+ years of relevant experience in mine site planning, water management, and/or environmental modeling.
Registered or eligible for professional registration (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) in British Columbia.
Proven expertise using GoldSim for water balance and system modeling applications.
Strong understanding of mine site water quality management, including regulatory water quality objectives, contaminant load management, and treatment planning.
Familiarity with environmental permitting and compliance frameworks related to water quality and quantity in British Columbia or across Canada.
Demonstrated success providing strategic technical guidance and leading project teams.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills -- able to translate complex modeling concepts into clear, actionable planning insights.
Recognized for initiative, innovation, and enthusiasm in advancing modeling tools and approaches that deliver client value.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment
A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role.
A valid driver's license (in good standing) is mandatory.
Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.
