to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 4 days on, 3 days off rotation.

As a key member of the Health & Safety Team, the

Training Supervisor

is responsible for leading a team of trainers and overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive health, safety, and job-specific training programs for site employees. The role includes ensuring the creation of engaging and effective training materials, identifying and assessing training needs, maintaining compliance with applicable safety regulations, and evaluating the impact and effectiveness of training initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:



Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to identify and adjust training needs. Develop and maintain competency-based programs aligned with safety regulations, OEM standards, and site policies. Assess training effectiveness through data and feedback to support continuous improvement. Stay current on mining and milling operations training trends and technologies. Maintain open communication to address training needs and feedback. Oversee departmental training budgets and upcoming initiatives. Manage learning platforms and coordinate external training resources. Schedule and prioritize training team activities, ensuring timely completion. Support Train-the-Trainer programs and validate field competencies. Oversee onboarding and orientation for employees, contractors, and visitors. Drive innovation in training delivery (simulation, VR, scenario-based learning). Promote proactive safety culture and participation in safety initiatives. Ensure accurate training records in compliance with legislative requirements.

Job Qualifications and Skills:



10+ years of experience in mining and milling operations, with a strong understanding of mining processes, safety protocols, and site operations. 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience, ideally in a training or health & safety environment. Proven ability to design and evaluate effective training programs. Understanding of adult learning principle and instructional design, formal training an asset. Skilled in using data to assess and improve training outcomes. In-depth knowledge of mining regulations, compliance and best practices. Strong communicator, able to simplify technical and safety topics. Proficient with LMS, e-learning tools, and Microsoft Office. Organized, collaborative, and results-driven with a focus on safety and improvement.

Compensation and Benefits:




We offer a competitive starting salary range of $115,000 - $125,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
