Job Description

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you will be part of the Mine Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle\xe2\x80\x99s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Coordinate, lead and manage mining operations with the objective of minimizing costs and maximizing revenues;
• Provide directions and monitor for mine designs, plans, schedules, resource definitions and reports;
• Establish and monitor grade control, reconciliation and production reporting procedures;
• Provide management of the operational budget as well as sustaining capital requirements;
• Promote and lead a culture of safe production and environmental awareness;
• Structure the mining department and provide direction for the operational plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mining Engineering;
• 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 of experience working in a large scale open pit mining environment with 10 years of management experience;
• Knowledge and understanding of all Ontario health, safety and environmental acts and legislation related to mining operations;
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule:

• Schedule: 4/3 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
• Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
