The Mine Haul Operation Manager is instrumental in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Newmont mine hauling project. They foster a culture of safety, while using their expertise to ensure the successful completion of daily, weekly and monthly targets. They continually seek opportunities to optimize available human and capital resources, provide leadership and mentorship to team members and work with T Bell Senior Management to ensure success of the project.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
First point of contact between T. Bell and the Client for all project matters, including attending daily meetings, daily haulage reporting, etc.
Safety first focused, including but not limited to:
Ensuring all safety protocols are always followed by drivers and operators
Instrumental in all accident/incident investigations, completing all accident reports with the assistance of the safety coordinator, and implementing safety procedures to prevent repetitive accident/incidents from occurring.
Provides leadership to the team to ensure the overall efficiency and success of the project.
Working with supervisors to oversee daily operations
Must actively work between Chapleau and Timmins locations to oversee and troubleshoot issues that arise with drivers, brokers, operator or other matters.
Work with the admin team to ensure proper scheduling of drivers and equipment operators to ensure daily, weekly and monthly targets are met.
Ensuring that drivers and operators are respecting the equipment being used to prevent unnecessary damage and downtime.
Ensure completion of project with a focus on managing costs.
Discipline team members as required for unsafe practices or other matters not aligned with T. Bell Policies
Perform other related duties as required.
Competencies, Skills and Knowledge requirements:
5+ years' experience in supervisory/management role preferably in the mining sector
Basics of Supervision training (preferred)
First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
Valid class "G" driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
Exceptional organizational skills, people skills and communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong understanding of the mining industry combined with heavy equipment construction operations is key.
Must possess a certain degree of mechanical knowledge.
Able to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Ability to plan and schedule activities including training.
Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude.
Must be highly flexible and adaptable.
Relationship savvy and solid interpersonal skills suitable for a diverse working environment with employees and clients
Licensed to operate heavy equipment if required would be an asset
AZ licence is an asset.

Pay: $49,986.39-$120,208.07 per year
