Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, production machinery, and related systems.
Fabricate and machine replacement parts or custom components using manual and CNC lathes, mills, and grinders.
Utilize
CAD software
to design parts, fixtures, and mechanical assemblies.
Use
CAM software
to generate and optimize toolpaths for efficient and accurate machining operations.
Perform precise alignment, assembly, and fitting of mechanical components.
Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical schematics accurately.
Work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to improve processes and equipment performance.
Verify part accuracy with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a
Millwright, Machinist, or Industrial Mechanic
, with both repair and fabrication capabilities.
Skilled in operating manual and CNC machine tools for manufacturing and repair.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Experience with welding, fitting, and general fabrication is an asset.
Proficient with precision measuring instruments and quality control techniques.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency in CAD and CAM software is an asset (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar).
