Working for Pembina means working safely.Overview:Pembina Pipeline Corporation\'s Fort McMurry location is currently recruiting for a Millwright Tradesman to join the team. This position reports to the Day Foreman in the Oilsands Business Unit (OBU), which is part of the Pipelines Division.Pembina is one of Canada\'s largest oil sands and heavy oil pipeline operators and the business unit operates one of the largest merchant terminal businesses in western Canada. These combined assets allow us to provide long-term, dedicated transportation services to our customers.The Millwright Tradesman will be part of a team in the Fort McMurray region that maintains equipment that is instrumental in shipping Oilsands Synthetic Crude Oil safely and reliably to multiple markets.Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Assist in developing site-specific procedures & THA\'s to ensure work can be performed safely;
  • Maintain pumps, valves, and related oilfield equipment by conducting field inspections to ensure reliability and dependability for day-to-day operations;
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of new equipment;
  • Complete preventative maintenance schedules of stations and sites to ensure all maintenance is completed to predetermined schedules;
  • Supervision of construction contractors as required;
  • Pipeline operational duties as required;
  • Perform all assignments in compliance with company standards;
  • Support and participate in Community Engagement activities;
  • Other duties as requested;

Qualifications:
  • A positive mindset and demeanor with a focus on team collaboration;
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety;
  • Provincial Mechanic or Millwright Certificate required;
  • Pipefitter Certificate and, or experience would be an asset;
  • Experience in pipeline operations is preferred;
  • Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication and trouble shooting skills;
  • A valid Class 5 Driver\'s License;
  • Safety Courses: TDG, H2S Alive, First Aid would be an asset, but if incomplete, will be provided by the company to the successful candidate;
  • Experience using SAP and Maintenance Module is highly desirable;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is a requirement; and
  • The ability to work out of the Fort McMurray office on an 8 and 6 shift.
