Role Overview
Our Millwrights play an important role in providing emergency and preventative maintenance to our manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Within our 400,000 square feet manufacturing facility, we have over 8,000 pieces of equipment and machinery including galvanizing lines, wiredraw machines, mesh machines, nail machines, packing lines. You will get on-going exposure to a wide range of machinery (we are like Legoland for Millwrights!). This role requires membership in the Teamsters Union, Local 213.
Provide maintenance to our manufacturing equipment and machinery
Preventative maintenance inspections (including repairs and adjustments)
Rebuild/repair gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, prime movers, and hoists
Reduce unplanned breakdowns and increase planned and preventative initiatives
Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
Compensation
Base Pay:
$45.90 per hour
Guaranteed 2% pay increase every year
Premiums:
Tool Premium $0.20 per hour
Shift Premium: Afternoon $0.65 per hour, Graveyard $0.70 per hour
Tuesday to Saturday Shift Premium: $0.70 per hour
Sunday to Thursday Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour

BC or Inter-Provincial Millwright Trade Qualification
Minimum of 5 years\' related work experience in a heavy industrial environment that includes the maintenance and repair of:
overhead cranes;
gas furnaces;
pneumatic and hydraulic equipment;
gear reducers; and
conveyors
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine work procedures
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to recognize and assist in resolving issues
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High aptitude for quick learning
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
