Job Description

Kelly Services is looking for a Industrial Mechanic(Millwright) to work for our Agricultural Chemical business partner. A global leader in chemical production.

  • Pay: 35.00 - 42.00 (+ 5.77% vacation pay) per hour (Wage will be based on experience)
  • Contract Length : Starting Oct 24th - Ongoing


Implement a safe, secure, cost effective, quality mechanical maintenance program including mechanical installations & repairs for the Regina site.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Journeyman card holder, mechanical and/or industrial trade (Millwright), an Millwright Apprentice with their level 3 or 4 will also be considered for this position.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety, and its legislation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with demonstrated pneumatic and mechanical aptitude.
  • Working experience of Pneumatic instruments and logic.
  • Workplace Hazardous Material Information System
  • Welding and machine shop experience and certification (like CWB) will be an asset.
  • Fork lifter, and Arial Work platforms (like Scissor/boom lift) experience and certification an asset
  • Strong working ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with industrial robotics an asset.

  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with vendors and contractors while developing strong relationships.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify, document and maintain all production and facility equipment as per Maintenance Management System to ensure production goals are met.
  • Organize and prioritize and execute the demand and preventative work requests to meet customer needs.
  • Execute tasks assigned through SAP and complete the work orders after executing the tasks.
  • Provide, on a project basis, supervision of outside resources, i.e.: Contractors/trades people.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance planner to maintain the spare parts inventory by ensuring an accurate inventory of respective equipment/tools is available at all times.
  • Execute and manage in house projects. Operates metal lathe, machine tools to manufacture replacement parts for equipment.
  • Review equipment reliability and provide recommendations for improvement or maintenance.
  • Support main project team and participate in the commissioning activities.
  • Maintain housekeeping in workshop and in the parts store. Active participation in implementing 5-S program.
Other Details
  • All training and safety equipment are provided (Steel-toe CSA approved footwear is your responsibility)
  • There may be rotating day and Afternoon Shifts for which a premuim would be paid for the afternoon shift
  • Oncall pay and Cell phone allowance will be provided, if on call service is required.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling - some weeks, hours may fluctuate due to the nature of the production cycle or as maintenance needs arise.
  • Reliable transportation is required (work location is unavailable via public transit by bus during early morning start/end times)
