Position and Responsibilities

As a member of Port Hope Technical Services Team, you will be working in close collaboration with Production, Maintenance trades, and other technical groups to maintain asset performance.

Role responsibilities include:

• Effectively diagnose equipment problems, including automation and controls related faults
• Complete repairs and/or adjustments in a safe and timely manner to minimize disruptions to continuous facility operation.
• Perform preventive, predictive maintenance and other technical activities on manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Support plant efforts in maximizing asset utilization by accurately documenting maintenance activities including time and materials utilizing SAP asset management system, and identifying opportunities for operating improvements

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the Position:

• Valid Ontario or Interprovincial Industrial Mechanic Millwright 433A certification
• Good working knowledge of diagnosing and troubleshooting industrial automation, PLC\'s, frequency drives, and robotic equipment.
• Five to ten years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Assets:

• Valid Ontario or Interprovincial Industrial Electrician 442A licence or valid Gas Technician G.1 certification with valid Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic 313A certification. Gas Technician G.1 certification holders possess or willing to obtain within 1 year Hydrogen Fuel Technician H2 certification.
• Experience servicing and troubleshooting industrial appliances such as janitorial and laundry equipment.
• Experience servicing and troubleshooting powered overhead doors.
• Valid Sprinkler and Fire Protection Installer 427A certification.
• Valid Plumber 306A certification.
• Valid Powered Lift Truck Technician 282E certification.
