Permanent opportunity for Journeyman Millwrights.Agilus is recruiting for a Millwright - Plant Maintenance in the chemical manufacturing industry in Port Moody, British Columbia. The Millwright - Maintenance Technician will report to the Engineer and Maintenance Manager and will have the responsibility to troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain mechanical equipment in a plant that operates 24/7. Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain all plant mechanical equipment, including but not limited to: pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement, air-driven diaphragm, reciprocating, etc.); large top-mounted agitators of up to 150 hp; fans; blowers; mechanical seals (single, double, lip, etc.); and sealing devices (packing, etc.) associated with this equipment. Install and modify existing and new piping systems and lines, including vessels, filters, exchangers (assembly and disassembly) and equipment setting and alignment. Structural, construction, painting, concrete, insulation and light sheet metal work.
• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems for chemical, steam, water and thermal fluid systems. Select type and size of pipe and related materials, such as supports and hangers, according to specifications. Cut pipe using saws, pipe cutter and cutting torch. Thread pipe using pipe threading machine. Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
• Become familiar with relevant maintenance department SOPs. Learn the plant processes and hazards associated with them. Be safety conscious and follow the plant safety policies and procedures (e.g. fall protection, confined space). Become familiar with the proper PPE task requirements and learn the mechanics role in the Emergency Response Plan.
• Actively participate in near-miss reporting, incident investigations, and safety housekeeping audits. Complete and initiate the proper documentation of work orders in the SAP system.

Requirements:

• Journeyman Millwright Ticket
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing plant
• Experience working in a chemical manufacturing or blending operation is an asset
• Able to lift and control up to 50lbs
• Willing to work in both indoor and outdoor environments year-round
• Willingness to operate plant vehicles such as forklift, bobcat, and light duty dump truck as trained and required
• Successful candidate must pass a criminal background check and present a clean driver\'s abstract
