RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshooting and regular maintenance of all machines
Execution of planned and reactive maintenance work
Commissioning of new equipment
Performing preventative maintenance for all equipment
Operate within a multi-skilled environment to maintain the plant's machinery and equipment, while improving processes to minimize production disruption
Respond to equipment breakdowns; execute mechanical repairs in a timely manner including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings, and gears
Utilize machine tools like, bench grinders, lathes, drilling, and milling machines to fabricate parts needed for repairs or modifications
Install and maintain production equipment
Assist the Engineering team to develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs Executing and maintaining preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Set up and maintain a safe and organized maintenance shop
Perform daily general housekeeping in their work area
Ensure the safe and efficient operations of the plant
Work with Engineering team to develop BOMs for equipment and maintain spare parts inventory
Maintain maintenance records in the company's enterprise resource planning software Responsible for achieving all maintenance department business, quality and safety goals
Following all human resources, environmental health and safety, and Pliteq policy requirements
Completing special projects as required from time to time
Travel domestically for the purposes of training and equipment procurement
Maintain and keep current on professional Millwright designations and licenses
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
Completion of secondary school and a recognized Millwright Apprenticeship Program or equivalent
At least 4 years of experience working as a Millwright in an industrial Manufacturing setting
Strong mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledge an asset
Ability to work with pumps, motors, conveying equipment, hydraulic equipment and large industrial machines
Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
Working knowledge of local and Canadian electrical and safety codes
Advanced working knowledge of electrical, PLC programming, and motor controls
Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and manuals for equipment Ability to problem-solve and execute solution, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment
Ability to manage multiple task and prioritize while staying organized
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work at heights (training will be provided)
Demonstrated leadership and work ethic
Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and working conditions
Experience using Maintenance Software programs
Counterbalance forklift certification and experience is considered an asset
Welding Certification an asset
Elevated work platform certification an asset
