Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Millwork Shop Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the workshop. This role is primarily a leadership role within the shop, so communication between team members in all departments is of absolute importance. The Millwork Shop Foreman will ensure safe and efficient production practices to meet deadlines and keep client satisfaction.

Duties

Manage production from drawings to completed products Manage the shop and offer input on maintaining production schedules Lead and train other team members as required Manage shop safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment Coordinate material deliveries Work on and maintain tools in the shop Work on specialized custom millwork projects Be responsible for all aspects of quality control and assurance Prepare materials for finishing Collaborate and communicate with all team members to ensure timely project completion Review and create shop drawings for unique and potentially complex projects Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years experience in a cabinetry/millwork environment Experience with high-end residential carpentry an asset Ability to read and understand design drawings Woodworking and cabinet making experience Familiarity with CNC software (Mozaik) Experience with shop equipment and tool maintenance Experience leading a shop team in woodworking/cabinet production Physical stamina to work on your feet for most of the day Strong communication skills Shop drawing creation an asset Red Seal cabinet maker and asset

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
