Millwright - Pellet Mill

Permanent Full-Time

Reporting to the Shift Lead Hand, Maintenance Lead, Pellet Mill Manager, the primary function is maintaining pellet manufacturing equipment and associated rolling stock at the Great Northern Timber Holdings wood pellet mill. Repairs and/or maintenance to be carried out in a time efficient manner, using proactive problem-solving of issues in order to avoid production downtime.

Responsibilities:

? Monitor production line equipment
? Follow any and all safety and lockout procedures for the equipment used. Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the job and maintain it in good working condition.

? Proactive communication with other operators, and key Pellet Plant personnel.
? Complete visual inspections of equipment to ensure good working condition, carry out repairs, check and replenish fluid levels, report any damage to equipment or buildings to Shift Lead Hand, Maintenance Lead and/or Pellet Mill Manager.

? Complete plant lubrication as scheduled.
? Carry out preventative maintenance as laid out by Maintenance Lead.
? Complete required paperwork.
? Miscellaneous job duties as directed by Lead Hand, Maintenance Lead and/or Pellet Mill Manager.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

? High School Diploma or GED or equivalent professional experience.
? Red Seal Millwright Certification preferred, or equivalent experience in a maintenance role.
? 1 - 2 years experience working in a plant environment, ideally in the Pellet Mill industry.
? Knowledge of operating mill equipment and systems.
? Knowledge of mechanical repair concepts.
? Knowledge of Mill production methods.
? Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

? Ability to prioritize multiple projects without losing focus on the details.
? Ability to work independently and as a team to communicate at all levels.

This full-time position requires 12 hour rotating shifts; 4 days on/4 days off; days/nights

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Overtime pay according to provincial statutes.
