MacDonald Paving and Construction is part of Miller Paving Atlantic, based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. MacDonald Paving and Construction provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate- based materials, highway operations and maintenance services.

As a Traffic Control Signer, You Will:


  • Control movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects through traffic control plans that meet safety regulations
  • Designs traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with superior visibility to oncoming traffic
  • Coordinates traffic control personnel
  • Sets up traffic control in municipal and highway road construction projects
  • Coordinates schedule of traffic control set-up, take downs and switches
  • Monitors signage requirements on various job sites
  • Completes and submits daily reports and performs communications in accordance with company policy and local practices


What You\'ll Bring:


  • Knowledge of traffic plans and legislative requirements for traffic control
  • Experience in a construction related position
  • Valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence
  • Frequent standing which may be required for long periods of time; frequent lifting and moving signage
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable Provincial and municipal licensing requirements
  • May be required to work on all shifts: days, evenings, nights which may include rotational shifts
  • Must be able to assemble and place equipment (signage) in appropriate locations
  • Must be able to travel with the crew throughout the local area of New Brunswick/Nova Scotia for the work duration.
