MacDonald Paving and Construction provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate- based materials, highway operations and maintenance services.

As a Traffic Control Person, You Will:


  • Control movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects
  • Discuss traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with superior visibility to oncoming traffic
  • Distribute traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern
  • Direct movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals
  • Warn construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers
  • Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites using signage
  • Record licence number of traffic control violators for police


What You\'ll Bring:


  • Traffic control training course is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable Provincial and municipal licensing requirements
  • Willingness to workdays, evenings, and nights which may include rotational shifts
  • Will be required to be on call and accept work shifts when the need arises
  • Must have a valid Provincial Traffic/Signal Persons Certificate
  • Must be able to travel with the crew throughout the local area of New Brunswick/Nova Scotia for the work duration
