MacDonald Paving and Construction is part of Miller Paving Atlantic, based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. MacDonald Paving and Construction provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate- based materials, highway operations and maintenance services.

As a Skid Steer Operator, You Will:


  • Operate a skid steer grader completing various gravel operations and fine grading tasks safely and efficiently
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment in construction operations in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform daily maintenance, clean and service the equipment; perform minor repairs to equipment
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, complete maintenance records and daily equipment log
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
  • Perform all fluid level checks, fueling, greasing, undercarriage cleaning, etc. as required
  • Productively operated in a collaborative manner with all crew members


What You?ll Bring:


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating grade roller or skid steer operator.
  • Must have a valid minimum class 5 driver's licence with driver?s abstract meeting Miller?s expectations
  • Ability to operate in a fast pace and demanding environment in a safe and effective manner
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Work well with others and team player who is willing to help out in all areas
  • Must have a high attention to detail and the ability to think critically
  • Punctual and reliable, with the ability to work overtime and weekends if needed
  • Must be able to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions
  • Travel is required
