to join our woodworking team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in architectural millwork who is passionate about building high-quality, one-of-a-kind trade show displays and custom wood components.
The successful candidate will be experienced in working with laminates, solid wood, and sheet goods, able to read and interpret floorplans and blueprints, and capable of building custom curved wood items with precision. Any experience with CNC machinery or programming will be considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret shop drawings, floorplans, blueprints, and cut lists accurately.
Fabricate and pre-assemble
custom trade show displays
, cabinets, counters, fixtures, panels, and other millwork components.
Work with
laminate, solid wood, and sheet goods
with a high degree of accuracy.
Build
custom curved wood items
and apply advanced woodworking techniques to meet unique design specifications.
Operate woodworking equipment such as table saws, edge banders, planers, routers, sanders, and other shop tools.
Perform laminate work and detailed finishing with precision.
Conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to specifications and high production standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
Assist with material handling, staging, and inventory when required.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience
in commercial millwork, custom cabinetry, or architectural woodworking.
Proven ability to read and understand technical drawings, floorplans, and production plans.
Hands-on experience with
laminate application, cabinetry assembly, and custom millwork techniques
.
Skilled in the use of woodworking machines and hand tools.
Experience with
curved wood construction
and complex assemblies is a strong advantage.
CNC knowledge or programming experience
is considered a major asset.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, precision work.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a production team.
Forklift experience or certification is an asset but not required.
