Mill Stores Clerk

We're looking for a

Mill Stores Clerk

to join our

innovative lumber mill

located near

Vernon, British Columbia

. Our Lavington Division is where Tolko's story began over 60 years ago. Today, at Lavington, we safely and sustainably produce

238 million board feet of lumber per year

for

customers around the world

so they can build their homes and their communities.



Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

High School Diploma

Minimum two (2) years previous related experience

in

inventory management, parts and logistics.

Comfortable using a

computer

and

learning new software

required,

JD Edwards

and/or

Coupa

experience,

an asset

. Ability to

operate

mobile equipment

, or a willingness to learn,

is required

. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, unassisted. Ability to

work independently

and

with a team

.

Attention

to

detail

. Strong

internal

customer focus

. Exceptional

verbal

and

written

communication

skills. Above average

time management

and

organizational

skills. Experience in

manufacturing

required,

wood products

manufacturing

preferred

.

In this role you will:

Work with a set of tradespeople

and other team members to carry out

maintenance on round and band saws

and

assist with troubleshooting

. W

ork collaboratively across your team and with other departments

. Use your

problem-solving skills

to support troubleshooting and to look for and propose

new ideas

to streamline processes and fine-tune equipment. Lead with your

unwavering commitment to

safety

to keep yourself, our operators and other employees safe. Use your

organization and planning skills

to keep on top of your work. Provide

valuable internal customer service

to assist your

colleagues with store procedures and parts locating

. Work closely within the

purchasing department to manage inventory levels

. Keep the stores area

clean and organized

. Use

mobile equipment

such as

forklifts and pallet jacks

to physically ship, receive, and store inventory,

including lubricants

.

Apply your

creativity

and

innovative thinking

to

improve efficiency

through process improvements.

$54,000 to $72,000 per year.
