YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
You will be reporting to Health & Safety Training Supervisor, and you will be part of the Health and Safety Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Develops and revise work procedures; develops training manuals and lesson plans for all mill training to improve the efficiency of the training program and to improve the productivity of Mill Operators
Conduct safety inspections on operational modifications ensuring these meet our safety standards; ensures our Mill Operators are working according to procedures
Review mill efficiency and correct any operational deficiencies to improve mill productivity
Conduct safety meetings to improve communication, to identify hazards and to reduce the frequency of accidents
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must have a working knowledge of any mining activity under his/her responsibility and must have a professional accreditation relative to his/her area of responsibility. This includes the practical experience, supervisory experience and technical or equivalent background
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days off, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
