Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals for the Milking Position at our dairy farm. This role is essential in ensuring the health and productivity of our herd while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for animal care, and the ability to operate farm machinery effectively.

Responsibilities

Perform milking duties using automated milking equipment while ensuring the comfort and safety of the cows. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of milking equipment and facilities to adhere to health regulations. Monitor the health and well-being of cows during milking, reporting any concerns to management. Assist in the feeding and care of livestock outside of milking hours. Operate and maintain farm machinery used in the milking process, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Participate in routine maintenance tasks around the farm as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a farming or agricultural environment is preferred but not required. Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and operating farm machinery effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks associated with animal care and equipment handling. Familiarity with dairy operations or livestock management will be considered an asset.
