Qualifications
To be a successful candidate, you must:
be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
have completed at least Grade 10 or Secondaire IV (in Quebec)
have parental consent if under age 18
meet Canadian Armed Forces medical standards
successfully complete selection process, interview and examinations
pass physical fitness tests

41 Service Battalion is in search of applicants who are ready to be trained in the food services system as a Cook. As a Cook, you will train as a part-time soldier and also train to prepare nutritious food items and meals. Courses are conducted using an apprenticeship system, preparing dozens of various meals for all meals of the day and special events. You will have access to a state-of-the-art kitchen in the Armoury and use the "Flying Kitchen" when in the field. As you complete your technical training, you will advance to leadership positions which promote you to positions where you will manage all facets of the operation including preparing menus and events, purchasing food and leading staff.
If you are a Red Seal Chef, you may be placed higher in the processing queue.
We are conducting an information session on Wed the 24th of September at 7:30 p.m. at the Debney Armoury (parking in the east and west lots) at 8403 Roper Road NW, Edmonton, AB.
