Gear Power is looking for skilled and motivated welders / fabricators to join our team in Mississauga!

Our service centre specializes in the installation and repair of truck-mounted hydraulic systems, SPIF axle systems, wheelbase alterations, snow and ice control equipment and installation of dump bodies. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in welding, fabrication, and mechanical installation, with a strong ability to work with metal components in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform welding and fabrication duties on a variety of materials, primarily steel and aluminum, for truck bodies. Fabricate and install custom dump bodies, frames, and other truck-related components. Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to complete fabrication projects. Operate welding equipment such as MIG welders, along with cutting tools and grinders. Assemble truck body components and hydraulic systems, ensuring all components are aligned and securely installed. Inspect materials, parts, and equipment for quality and safety standards. Maintain clean and organized work areas to promote efficiency and safety. Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to welding or fabrication. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Assist in general maintenance of shop equipment and tools.

Job Requirements:

You have at least 3 years of good welding experience in both aluminum and steel welding (a welding certification or ticket is a bonus!) Strong knowledge of welding techniques, cutting, and grinding. You have your own tools Passionate about being a welder/fabricator Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and operate various shop machinery. You are dependable, reliable, and able to work in a team environment

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
