Job Description
General : The Production Supervisor will direct, supervisor and coordinate staff and manufacturing in our powder detergent manufacturing plant. Ensure production, health and safety and quality standards are maintained.Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility and accountability production operations
- Works closely with Sales and Scheduling to ensure that the plant is satisfying sales orders while maximizing operational efficiency
- Responsible for the health and safety of assigned employees and for the management of WSIB claims
- Responsible for training of plant personnel as required
- Responsible for quality
- Responsible for cost containment in accordance with budget constraints
- Works with staff, warehouse and plant personnel to constantly improve quality, safety and labour efficiency
- Develops SOPs to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the plant and warehouse
- Works with HR and plant personnel to ensure fairness and consistency and workplace harmony
- Makes recommendations on capital expenditures to advance the objectives of improving plant efficiency, reducing cost and improving H&S
- Must keep abreast of legal responsibilities of both supervisors and employees
