The successful Mid-Level Architect candidate focuses on generation of models, drawings and other documents in support of overall project deliverables. This position encourages creativity in problem solving while balancing the application of company standards and templates. Project size, type, exposure and responsibility will vary, including renovation and new construction opportunities. This position will require a high level of coordination with others within a team environment, working under the direct supervision of an experienced Architect. Project work may include all levels of design, including studies, conceptual design, design development, detailed design and construction administration.

How will I contribute?

This individual will be a key contributor to starting to grow the architectural presence in our Canda Region for CRB. This will help shape the direction of the office from an architectural perspective and aiding in growing the team further.

• Work under the guidance of experienced Architect to execute all phases of design, including programming, planning, concept development, detailed design and construction administration.
• Generate design and construction models and documentation utilizing Revit or other BIM software.
• Assisting in the development of studies, presentations and reports.
• Develop and apply working knowledge of the International Building Codes as part of project delivery process.
• Work closely with Engineering and Construction personnel to develop and ensure coordinated and constructible designs.
• Conduct basic field investigations of existing systems and structures.
• Participate and contribute during drawing reviews, coordination meetings and quality checks.
• Delegation of basic and fundamental tasks to Architectural Intern / Design staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Arch, and/or D.Arch) or Canadian / International equivalent
• Architectural license in good standing within home state, with ability for reciprocal licensure through NCARB
• Three years professional experience
• Experience with the approvals process in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• NCARB Certification
• Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with Enscape, Rhino or other 3D modeling/visualization software
• Flexibility for moderate travel in support of project-based or training activities
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• LEED Accreditation, WELL Certification or similar sustainability credentials
• Knowledge of, and/or experience with advanced technology industry projects including R&D labs, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food & nutrition and/or consumer products
