Middleware Consultant (Onsite)
Primary Location: Toronto, Ontario
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Middleware Consultant for our premier client in Toronto, Ontario.
Education and Experience
Must Haves: 5+ years experience:
- Strong knowledge of J2EE, OC4J, and WebLogic Server.
- Experience with XML configuration, deployment descriptors, and Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JAXB).
- Familiarity with Oracle tools (SmartUpgrade, JDeveloper).
- Understanding of middleware, JDBC, and enterprise integration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deployment Descriptor Conversion: Replace OC4J-specific files (e.g., orion-web.xml, orion-ejb-jar.xml) with WebLogic equivalents.
- Library & Class Loading Management: Configure application libraries and XML parsers to avoid conflicts.
- External Configuration Handling: Use WebLogic deployment plans for loading custom configuration files.
- Data Source Migration: Create and configure JDBC data sources in WebLogic.
- Tool Utilization: Leverage Oracle SmartUpgrade and JDeveloper for automated migration and compatibility checks.
- Domain Reconfiguration: Update WebLogic domains using Reconfiguration Wizard or WLST scripting.
- Testing & Deployment: Validate application functionality post-migration and ensure performance standards.
