Middle School Teacher
Homeroom, Language Arts, Geography, and History Full-time position - 100% FTE Temporary Contract from August 28, 2023 to March 29, 2024 Department: Middle School Reports to: Middle School Head Education: Bachelor of Education, Ontario Teacher Certification Experience: 3 + years\xe2\x80\x99 experience teaching at Junior/Intermediate grade level (Grades 6, 7, 8) with a focus on homeroom, language arts, history, and geography Experience in a Mac & Google environment Experience in an Independent School Working Conditions: School/Office Environment St. Mildred\xe2\x80\x99s-Lightbourn School Inspired Girls. Role Overview St. Mildred\xe2\x80\x99s-Lightbourn School has an opening for a Middle School Teacher - Homeroom, Language Arts, Geography, and History. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Middle School Head and teaching team to create and facilitate student-centered programming that balances direct instruction and innovative practices including Project Based Learning. The successful candidate is enthusiastic, articulate and a creative teacher who communicates and engages others with ease and confidence. This individual creates a learning community that allows different learners to thrive and prosper and is comfortable engaging in innovative and diverse programming. The successful candidate is a critical thinker who demonstrates initiative, integrity and attention to detail.
