Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a motivated MicroStation CAD Designer for their central Ontario offices. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience of delivering MicroStation drawings for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure. As the successful candidate, you will use your technical abilities to prepare designs and contract drawings for municipal infrastructure projects in a dynamic team setting. The specifics of the position are as follows: Responsibilities and Duties: \xc2\xb7 Excellent MicroStation CAD knowledge on Water & Wastewater infrastructure projects including but not limited to preparation of 3D surface from survey data, create alignments, plan & profiles, sections & details, assemblies & sub-assemblies, corridors, and pipe network utilizing Xref and Data Shortcuts features. \xc2\xb7 Provide technical support for all MicroStation CAD software. \xc2\xb7 Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions. \xc2\xb7 Work with engineers, technicians, and other team members to complete projects in a timely and effective manner. \xc2\xb7 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of engineering and MicroStation CAD standards. Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Civil / Construction Management design-related education (diploma) OR a certificate / diploma in computer drafting (MicroStation CAD and/or AutoCAD). \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 8 years of experience delivering 2D & 3D Drawings relating to water and wastewater infrastructure projects. \xc2\xb7 Fully conversant with MicroStation CAD with Water & Wastewater related experience. \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of Region of Peel design and CAD standards would be an asset. \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge on AutoCAD Civil 3D & Revit and InfraWorks would be an asset. \xc2\xb7 Familiarity with various municipal and provincial design and drafting standards. \xc2\xb7 Independent, organized, resourceful, and motivated team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
