Microsoft Security Engineer

About the Role:

AMTRA Solutions is looking for a Microsoft Security Engineer to join our Security & Cloud practice. This is a professional services, client-facing role where you\xe2\x80\x99ll deploy the following*:

• Azure Arc
• Azure AD Identity and Access Management
• Microsoft 365 Defender
• Microsoft Sentinel
• Microsoft Entra

*Candidates must have working experience and knowledge with the list above.

Engineering & Project Delivery:

Working with AMTRA\xe2\x80\x99s Senior Architects, you will balance varying project deliverables for our awesome clients, who represent a wide array of industries. You will act as a reliable security subject matter expert and work in a hands-on role deploying Microsoft Security technologies for clients

AMTRA\xe2\x80\x99s internal team will also rely on your experience and expertise; our Managed Services team will bring escalations to you as required. It is imperative that you collaborate with our internal stakeholders, take direction, and then run with deliverables to get them across the finish line.

In this role you will:

• Implement and configure Microsoft 365 Defender, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Defender for Identity, and Microsoft Cloud App Security. Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure and application deployment issues.
• Perform risk assessments and analyze results to write formal findings reports that support client needs.
• Stay current with industry advancements and Microsoft product evolutions.

Based on the experience you bring to the table, you may:

• Provide expertise in security pre-sales activities by speaking knowledgably to customer requirements.
• Effectively communicate security topics at all levels of our client\xe2\x80\x99s organizations with easy-to-understand language and concepts.
• Create documentation such as Proposals, Statements of Work, technical documentation, recommendations documents, etc.

Your Experience & Knowledge:

Candidates must have production deployment experience with the following:

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience supporting major enterprise clients as a Security Engineer, promoting security best practices, and staying on top of common/emerging security threats.
• Deep expertise with Windows and Server operating systems
• Working knowledge in networking
• Demonstrated experience in the following areas of expertise: Threat Assessments & Modeling, IT Security Standards, Identity Management, Privacy and Risk Management, Client Information Protection, Vulnerability Management, Security Monitoring, Risk Assessments, Infrastructure Security.
• Deep domain expertise in Microsoft security and data governance solutions, such as Microsoft 365 Defender or Microsoft Purview
• You\xe2\x80\x99re known for delivering amazing client experiences.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Enterprise and technical infrastructure design methodologies as well as datacenter architectures and automation.
• An extensive understanding of IT governance, risk, and compliance; You\xe2\x80\x99ve built security governance plans and established security best-practices and procedures.
• A background in enterprise and technical architecture design.

• You have a background in professional services/delivering projects to end-clients.
• You have worked in an entrepreneurial, small business setting previously.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications:

As a Microsoft Partner, you bet we take certifications seriously. Candidates holding active Microsoft Security certifications will be prioritized; examples include:

• Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
• Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate
• Microsoft Identity & Access Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Information Protection Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Security Administration

It is expected that all AMTRA employees will complete two (2) assigned Microsoft Certifications per year.
