The work location is in

Nunavik

and the normal work schedule is

11 hours

per day on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Reporting to the Underground Mine Captain, the supervisor has the following responsibilities in particular:

Plan, organize, manage material and human resources at the drilling, blasting, withdrawal, and backfilling level. Monitor the quality of work performed in accordance with the company's quality and profitability objectives. Manage and mobilize a team of around 20 people; lead complex cases and resolve conflicts in his department. Participate in human resources management practices (workforce planning, recruitment, management of disciplinary measures, staff evaluation, etc.). Develop and maintain a network with local stakeholders. Assist the contractor in his daily needs. Meet the company's health and safety requirements and recommendations. Perform other related tasks associated with this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Hold a college diploma (DEC) in mining, or equivalent. Have a Minimum of 10 years of experience in underground mining, including 5 years as a supervisor. Have strong skills in planning, leadership, and personnel management. Be able to take a position in more complex cases in conflict management and project management. Business acumen and a sense of excellence in customer service. Hold the mining modules (FMTM 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7). Hold a valid general explosive permit. Bilingualism (French and functional English). Hold a valid class 5 driving license.

Nice to have

Accredited training in mine rescue and first aid in the workplace. Experience in the mining sector in northern Quebec.
