Job Summary:




We are seeking an experienced and scientifically driven Medical Affairs Manager / Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our oncology team in March 2026, supporting Hematology-Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology. This individual will play a key role in bridging clinical development and commercial functions by providing medical and scientific expertise across Central and Eastern Canada, including Ontario, Quebec, and the Atlantic provinces.


This individual will serve as a trusted scientific resource, engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals to communicate complex clinical data, support investigator-initiated research, and ensure all interactions are compliant, balanced, and aligned with company strategy. This position will also help shape medical strategy, support Health Canada interactions, and lead scientific training initiatives to drive impactful and ethical medical engagement across the region. This hybrid leadership and field role requires strong oncology experience, exceptional communication and coaching skills, and the ability to collaborate cross functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Commercial Operations to achieve organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities:




Key responsibilities may include the following:

Lead national medical strategy and KOL engagement planning, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives. Engage with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to communicate complex scientific and clinical information in an accurate, fair, and balanced manner. Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier academic centers, societies, and oncology networks across Central & Eastern Canada. Support French-language medical communications and scientific materials in Quebec. Collaborate closely with the Ontario and Quebec sales representatives to ensure medical and scientific alignment in the field. Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing in general. Act as a liaison with Health Canada on relevant medical and scientific matters. Plan and participate in advisory board meetings, investigator-initiated studies, and other medical engagement activities. Develop and deliver medical education programs and training for internal field teams and external audiences. Provide medical and scientific support to cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, etc. Monitor and interpret emerging clinical data, therapeutic trends, and competitor activity to inform medical strategy. Represent the company at national and international congresses, symposia, and other professional meetings; summarize key insights and report field intelligence. Ensure all communications and interactions comply with regulatory standards and company policies. Contribute to scientific publications, abstracts, and presentations. Provide leadership and mentorship to other field medical personnel as needed.

Qualifications:



Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or healthcare discipline preferred (PharmD/PhD). Minimum of 5 years of experience in oncology within medical affairs or as a Medical Science Liaison. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders. Experience supporting clinical studies and investigator-initiated research programs.
Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory and compliance requirements (Health Canada).
Exceptional communication and presentation skills in both English and French (bilingual required). Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical and scientific data effectively. Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and CRM tools. Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Working Conditions:



Remote-based position within Ontario. Must be able to go into the office in Toronto once per month (min) and once per week (max). Fluency in English required; French language proficiency is considered an asset. Occasional out-of-country travel to visit partners (Global) and pharma& HQ (Vienna). Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a desk. * Must maintain a valid driver's license and meet company travel policy requirements.
