The Opportunity The Provincial Office of the M\xc3\xa9tis Nation of Alberta (MNA) is recruiting for a M\xc3\xa9tis Family Connections Worker (MFCW). The M\xc3\xa9tis Family Connections Worker reports to the M\xc3\xa9tis Family Resource Program Manager and is a part of the Children and Family Services department. The successful candidate will support the registration process for those who are adopted and seeking M\xc3\xa9tis citizenship. The MFCW will act as a navigator and liaison between various provincial bodies of Vital Statistics/Records, Registry departments, and the applicant to support the obtaining of pertinent birth documents and adoption records for the purpose of MNA citizenship. The successful candidate will be professional, exhibit strong interpersonal skills, and possess an ability to handle sensitive and confidential information while using trauma-informed approaches.
