Position Overview

: As a Methods Programming Agent in the Aerospace Industry, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programming methods and procedures for manufacturing processes within the aerospace industry. This role requires a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing techniques, CAD/CAM software proficiency, and the ability to optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and implement programming methods for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines used in aerospace manufacturing processes. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to understand manufacturing requirements and develop programming solutions to meet those needs. Utilize CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths, program CNC machines, and simulate machining operations. Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste. Create and maintain documentation for programming methods, including process instructions, tooling specifications, and quality standards. Perform troubleshooting and debugging of CNC programs to ensure accurate and reliable machining operations. Stay updated on advancements in machining technology and software tools, and incorporate new techniques and methodologies as appropriate. Provide training and support to production personnel on programming methods and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in methods programming for CNC machining, preferably within the aerospace industry. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or Mastercam. Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as AS9100 and NADCAP, is desirable. Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies as needed.

:

Applicants will be screened for the requirements of Canadian Controlled Goods Program and must pass relevant criminal background checks. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English Ability to work primarily in an office environment where employees will be required to sit and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time. Compliance with proper use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in or travelling through an environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols. Able to work as part of a small team in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
