Job Brief:

The Meter Prover Technician will be responsible for routine meter proving, testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, maintenance and other duties while promoting a healthy and safe work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete routine meter proving.
  • Calibration and inspections.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Testing of equipment.
  • Analyzing and reporting.
  • Building reports and emailing them to customers.
  • Documentation and records maintenance.
  • Interpret drawings.
  • Operate 25ft trailer and maneuver into tight areas.
  • Compliance & Safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent communication, organization, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of field activities, and oil and gas facilities.
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn and use an ERP (IFS) system, a remote work order (MWO/Aurena) system and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 5 Driver s License with a clean driver s abstract.
  • Knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, and other parts, materials, labour.
  • Works well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Keen understanding of company operations.
  • Work under pressure while displaying a polite and tactful manner to fellow employees and clients.
Education:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Industry related certification and/or experience.
