The principal role of the Meter Prover Technician is to be responsible for routine meter proving, while promoting a healthy and safe workplace and ensuring top performance and quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete technical troubleshooting and field maintenance related to meter proving
  • Complete routine meter proving for both bench and inline services
  • Calibrate and inspect gas meters
  • Calibrate and inspect product analyzers such as BS&W
  • Understand, interpret and troubleshoot RTU, EFM and PLC configurations
  • In-depth knowledge of Coriolis, vortex, mag and turbine meters and associated electronics
  • Understanding of API 2540 Chapter 11 and Chapter 4
  • Interpret P&ID\xe2\x80\x99s, loop drawings, and measurement schematics
  • Complete gas and liquid sampling
  • Sound knowledge of and ability to apply AER Directive 017 regulations procedures
  • Understand high level reporting delineation, regulatory requirements, and measurement best practices

  • Establish and maintain excellent team and client working relationships
  • Understand the AERs Directive 017 and/or OGC Measurement Guidelines for upstream oil and gas operations
  • Operate 1Ton Dually Truck and 8000 kg Enclosed trailer
  • Maintain vehicle log book and follow Transport Canada Regulations
Qualifications

Qualifications / Experience:
  • Industry related certification and/or work experience
  • Proving experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of field activities, and oil and gas facilities
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office, Google, and company software applications
  • Required HSE training for field work
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 operator\xe2\x80\x99s license or equivalent with clean driver abstract
Additional Information

Please note that travel out of town and camp work is required
  • Those willing to relocate will be considered
