Job Description
We are seeking a
Metallurgy Technician
to support the daily operations of our heat-treatment, destructive-testing, and metallurgy laboratory departments at ourMontreal-North
manufacturing facility. This is a permanent, full-time position within a stable and growing company (founded in 1971) in the defense and commercial aerospace industry.The successful candidate must undergo a security background check as part of the hiring process.
Additionally, the candidate must have excellent English communication skills in order to communicate with our North American customer base.
Key Responsibilities
Support mechanical and metallurgical testing activities. Assist with quality-assurance documentation and sample tracking. Prepare and analyze samples for laboratory evaluation. Participate in equipment calibration and maintenance routines. Ensure compliance with internal standards and external audit requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Contribute to process improvements and perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Technical engineering diploma (preferably in metallurgy). Bilingual (French/English).
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are required for regular interactions with U.S. customers.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience in a related field is an asset.Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance.
